Brig Gen.Rusagara, Col Byabagamba, Sgt Kabayiza’s case adjourned

Military tribunal based in Nyamirambo has adjourned the case involving Brig General Frank Rusagara, Col Tom Byabagamba and driver Sgt (rtd) Francois Kabayiza to September 05, 2014.

Rusagara who was in clad green prison-military uniform looked calm and relaxed, however, Col Tom Byabagamba who appeared in military fatigue looked tired as kabayija seemed to be stressed.

Kabayiza’s lawyer was disqualified to be a legitimate lawyer. Claiming the lawyer had not presented his license and prosecution said the lawyer was in pension.

The accused are facing charges of spreading rumours, using words which are meant to threaten public order and concealing information that would threaten state security.

The trio are accused in one case. Waiting for kabayiza to get another lawyer, or ask his initial lawyer who the judges said he had in his retirement, therefore he must present his license.
