President Kagame has dumped almost all his former struggle comrades from the Rwandan military.
The dumped include Lt Gen Cesar Kayizali, Major Gen Sam Kaka, Major Gen Frank Mugambage, Major Gen Rwarakabije (the only non-RPF career soldier dumped), and Brig Gen George Rwigamba.
Gone are 10 colonels, 15 lieutenant colonels, and 16 majors.
Who are the RPF historicals left standing — both in the army and in government? Very few, indeed.
