Kagame’s North Carolina Event Is Top Secret. Invitees Told Not Reveal Any Information ”Whatsoever.”

By David Himbara

From Germany, where he currently is, General Paul Kagame is headed for Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. The visit is top secret. The event where Kagame will be hailed as the builder of African Singapore is scheduled for February 18, 2019. This is the description of the event: “chances are you have heard of President Paul Kagame. He is the current President of Rwanda, as well as chairman of the 54 country African Union. Recently named “2018 African of the Year” by Forbes, President Kagame helped stop the genocide of the 1990’s, and has gone on to transform the East African country into what observers call the “African Singapore.” But what makes Rwanda special? How have the Rwandan people been able to heal and reconcile their land, and rapidly transform their country in less than a generation to become a beacon of Africa? How has this small country attracted diverse foreign investment? What makes it a global hotspot for tourism? We have an amazing opportunity to learn firsthand the answers to all these questions. As a leader in our city, we are inviting you to join us for “An Evening with President Kagame of Rwanda” at the Ballantyne Resort on Monday, February 18 at 5PM for a chance to engage in this powerful story of reconciliation, and how we can learn and apply it for the transformation of our own city. Please register today, so you don’t miss out on this special event. Because this is an invite-only event and space is limited, we ask that you not forward this link. Please do not post this anywhere, whatsover. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. Dress code is business attire. Your invitation is non-transferrable and Government issued ID will be required at the door.” The million dollar question is — why the secrecy?
