Kagame’s Nuclear Plant Is Joke😂

The Russian-built 2,400 Mmegawatt nuclear power plant at Rooppur, Bangladesh.
President Paul Kagame is fantasizing about a nuclear power plant. The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed this during his visit to Rwanda on June 3, 2018. He discussed with Kagame about Rwanda’s purchasing air defense systems and a nuclear power plant, among other things.

A nuclear power plant does not come cheap. Kagame has to play magic to acquire one.

Look at the most recent purchase of a Russian-built power plant. In 2015, Bangladesh signed a contract with Russia to build a 2,400 Megawatts nuclear power plant at Rooppur. The Roopur Nuclear Power Plant cost the Bangladeshi government US$12.6 Billion. The US$12.6 Billion was said to be equivalent to a third of Bangladesh’s national budget for fiscal year 2015–2016.

If this US$12.6 Billion power plant were built in Rwanda, it would be equivalent to Rwanda’s national budgets of three years.

Dear Kagame, slow down. Keep dreaming about building railways to Mombasa and Dar Es Salaam. Forget nuclear power plants — these are beyond your league. A nuclear power plant costs more than your national budgets of three years.😂
