Kagame’s Revenge No2 – The Rwigaras’ Tobacco Business And Its Bank Accounts Seized

By David Himbara

The Rwigaras’ tobacco business based in Gikondo, Kigali, and its bank accounts have been seized by the Kagame regime. The regime claims that the business owes taxes. This pattern in the regime’s behaviour is predictable. When people stand up for their rights, the regime punishes them mercilessly.

When the Rwigaras disputed the nature of Assinapol Rwigara’s death, the regime demolished their hotel – and even billed the family for the demolition. That was Kagame revenge No1.

When Diane Shima Rwigara declared her objective of competing for the Rwandan presidency, the regime was none too happy. Only the most naive would not link Shima’s candidacy with the tobacco business seizure. In reality this is Kagame revenge No2. Sponsor good load.

Stay tuned for what further punishment the regime comes up with.
