The Social Party IMBERAKURI takes this opportunity to remember that historic day, especially for the PS IMBERAKURI party.
We remember this day of June 24 when activists from different opposition political parties have savagery beaten and persecuted simply because they had participated in a peaceful march organized by the Social Party  IMBERAKURI.
On this day we remember as well the three years that His Excellency Me. Bernard Ntaganda, president of the party has spent in jail. His crime was to have taken the lead in denouncing the excesses of the regime in Kigali from inside the country. We recall that he was arrested on June 24, 2010. After a travesty of justice, he was sentenced to four years in prison. He is being held in the Mpanga prison where the prison authorities refused him access to medical treatment he badly needs.

Some people believed that the arrest and detention of the President of the Social Party  IMBERAKURI was supposed to be a solution to problems, but over time the seed he sow has been well maintained and has germinated. Meanwhile, the intimidation, abduction, abusive imprisonment, and harassment meetings by the RPF and other abuses against activists of different political opposition parties have continued but have not discouraged them to continue the struggle. It now appears that the perpetrators of these abuses came to the obvious reality: No one can stop those who fight for a good cause.

In these difficult times for our country, we continue to sensitize IMBERAKURI and our friends as well to stand up as one man to fight for our rights, to struggle for the immediate release of those wrongfully imprisoned especially those held for their critical ideas to the Kigali regime led by the RPF Inkotanyi. This regime should then accept inclusive talks with its opposition, the only way for the PS IMBERAKURI party to solve problems besetting Rwanda.
To all political prisoners, we encourage them to continue the resistance while remembering that everything has an end. We remind the Kigali regime not to kill the messenger and that the process of change already underway will not stop before completion.
