Jean Luc Habyarimana, qui avait 18 ans au moment des faits, a partag\u00e9 ses souvenirs du 6 avril 1994, jour o\u00f9 l&rsquo;avion de son p\u00e8re a \u00e9t\u00e9 abattu. Trente ans plus tard, ses souvenirs restent vivaces.<\/p>\n<p>Jean Luc Habyarimana a rappel\u00e9 le contexte de la guerre civile rwandaise, d\u00e9clench\u00e9e en octobre 1990 par le Front patriotique rwandais (FPR), soutenu par l&rsquo;arm\u00e9e ougandaise. Les accords d&rsquo;Arusha en octobre 1993 devaient instaurer un gouvernement d&rsquo;union nationale, mais la situation s\u00e9curitaire demeurait instable. Le soir du 6 avril 1994, alors que Jean Luc et sa famille entendaient l&rsquo;avion de son p\u00e8re atterrir, deux missiles tir\u00e9s depuis la colline de Masaka ont abattu l&rsquo;appareil, provoquant une explosion dont les d\u00e9bris sont tomb\u00e9s dans le jardin de leur r\u00e9sidence.<\/p>\n<p>Suite \u00e0 la publication de cette interview, les r\u00e9actions ne se sont pas fait attendre. Olivier Nduhungirehe, ambassadeur du Rwanda aux Pays-Bas, a exprim\u00e9 son indignation sur son compte X, accusant Bashi Wendi, la journaliste de DW de s\u2019\u00eatre laiss\u00e9e instrumentaliser. Il a critiqu\u00e9 l&rsquo;absence de questions sur les responsabilit\u00e9s de Juv\u00e9nal Habyarimana dans le g\u00e9nocide.<\/p>\n<p>La journaliste fran\u00e7aise pro-Kagame, Maria Malagardis a \u00e9galement d\u00e9nonc\u00e9 l&rsquo;interview, estimant que DW donnait une tribune \u00e0 un membre de la famille Habyarimana, responsable de violences et d&rsquo;incitations \u00e0 la haine durant les ann\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant le g\u00e9nocide.<\/p>\n<p>Norman Ishimwe, activiste des droits de l&rsquo;homme bas\u00e9 en Belgique, a d\u00e9fendu DW et la journaliste Bashi Wendy contre les accusations d&rsquo;Olivier Nduhungirehe. Ishimwe a qualifi\u00e9 ces attaques de tentative d&rsquo;intimidation visant \u00e0 r\u00e9duire au silence les journalistes et \u00e0 dissuader les m\u00e9dias de diffuser des voix dissidentes.
