Le samedi 29 juin 2024, le minist\u00e8re des Sports du Rwanda a publi\u00e9 un communiqu\u00e9 annon\u00e7ant l’inauguration officielle du Stade Amahoro par le Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique, Paul Kagame. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement est pr\u00e9vu pour le lundi 1er juillet 2024 et sera marqu\u00e9 par un match de football entre les \u00e9quipes APR FC et Police FC, en comp\u00e9tition pour le troph\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0Amahoro Stadium Inauguration Trophy\u00a0\u00bb. Le match d\u00e9butera \u00e0 17h00 et les portes du stade seront ouvertes \u00e0 partir de 11h00, avec une fermeture pr\u00e9vue \u00e0 15h00. Les billets sont disponibles d\u00e8s aujourd’hui, avec d’autres d\u00e9tails \u00e0 suivre.<\/p>\n

Initialement, l’inauguration \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vue pour le 4 juillet 2024, date de la lib\u00e9ration de Kigali par les forces du FPR en 1994. La premi\u00e8re inauguration du stade avait eu lieu le 1er juillet 1987 par le Pr\u00e9sident Juv\u00e9nal Habyarimana. Les travaux de r\u00e9novation, commenc\u00e9s d\u00e9but 2022, ont co\u00fbt\u00e9 160 milliards de francs rwandais. Le stade r\u00e9nov\u00e9 peut maintenant accueillir 45 000 spectateurs. Les r\u00e9novations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es par l’entreprise turque Summa et la firme rwandaise Real Contractors, une filiale de Crystal Ventures Ltd, propri\u00e9t\u00e9 du FPR-Inkotanyi, actuellement au pouvoir au Rwanda.<\/p>\n

Le 15 juin 2024, lors d’une soir\u00e9e marquant l’ouverture partielle du stade r\u00e9nov\u00e9, de nombreux Rwandais ont exprim\u00e9 leur joie d’entrer pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans le nouveau Stade Amahoro. Cependant, l’acc\u00e8s a \u00e9t\u00e9 chaotique avec des bousculades importantes. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, nomm\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0Ihuriro mu Mahoro\u00a0\u00bb, a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 un match de football entre Rayon Sports et APR FC, se terminant par un score nul de 0-0. L’organisation d\u00e9fectueuse a entra\u00een\u00e9 des incidents, certains supporters ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 bless\u00e9s dans la m\u00eal\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Bien que les r\u00e9sultats des \u00e9lections pr\u00e9vues pour le 15 juillet 2024 ne fassent gu\u00e8re de doute, avec une victoire attendue de Paul Kagame, cette inauguration est per\u00e7ue par les observateurs comme une d\u00e9monstration de popularit\u00e9 orchestr\u00e9e par le r\u00e9gime pour contrer les critiques croissantes, tant nationales qu’internationales, concernant la gouvernance du Pr\u00e9sident Kagame.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
