\"\"<\/a>Un grand-p\u00e8re rwandais, Jean Chrisostome Mubirigi, est port\u00e9 disparu dans des circonstances pr\u00e9occupantes apr\u00e8s une s\u00e9rie d\u2019arrestations men\u00e9es par les forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 rwandaises \u00e0 la suite de l\u2019attaque arm\u00e9e du 18 juin 2022 dans le district de Nyamagabe, \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de la for\u00eat de Nyungwe.<\/p>\n

Mubirigi, ancien prisonnier lib\u00e9r\u00e9 en 2015 apr\u00e8s avoir purg\u00e9 une peine de 20 ans, a \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 le 22 juin \u00e0 son domicile en m\u00eame temps que sa fille, Prudente Mubirigi, lors d\u2019une descente conjointe de la police et de l\u2019arm\u00e9e. Alors que sa fille a \u00e9t\u00e9 rel\u00e2ch\u00e9e quatre jours plus tard, le 26 juin, aucune trace de M. Mubirigi n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 retrouv\u00e9e depuis.<\/p>\n

Selon des voisins, la famille est plong\u00e9e dans une grande d\u00e9tresse. La m\u00e8re de Prudente s\u2019est rendue au poste de police peu apr\u00e8s la lib\u00e9ration de sa fille pour apporter de la nourriture et des v\u00eatements \u00e0 son mari. Les autorit\u00e9s lui ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que ce dernier avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 rel\u00e2ch\u00e9. Toutefois, les recherches men\u00e9es dans les h\u00f4pitaux, centres de sant\u00e9 et lieux de d\u00e9tention de Kigali et de la province du Sud n\u2019ont donn\u00e9 aucun r\u00e9sultat.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Ils lui ont dit qu\u2019il \u00e9tait rentr\u00e9 \u00e0 la maison \u00bb, rapporte un t\u00e9moin. \u00ab Mais personne ne l\u2019a vu depuis. Elle a tout essay\u00e9. Ils veulent juste savoir o\u00f9 il est. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Cette disparition survient dans un contexte de rumeurs persistantes autour du mari de Prudente, Mr Mugabo, qui a quitt\u00e9 le Rwanda quelques ann\u00e9es auparavant. Certains affirment qu\u2019il aurait rejoint les rebelles du FLN (Front de Lib\u00e9ration Nationale), le groupe accus\u00e9 d\u2019avoir men\u00e9 l\u2019attaque de Kitabi. D\u2019autres assurent qu\u2019il r\u00e9side actuellement en Europe. \u00c0 ce jour, aucune de ces affirmations n\u2019a pu \u00eatre confirm\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Mubirigi avait men\u00e9 une vie discr\u00e8te depuis sa sortie de prison, respectant les conditions de sa lib\u00e9ration conditionnelle, notamment l\u2019interdiction de toute implication politique. Sa disparition soudaine soul\u00e8ve des soup\u00e7ons d\u2019enl\u00e8vement \u00e0 motivation politique, d\u2019autant plus que certains membres de sa famille sont indirectement li\u00e9s \u00e0 des personnalit\u00e9s d\u2019opposition des accusations que la famille r\u00e9fute fermement.<\/p>\n

Interpell\u00e9e devant son domicile le jour de sa lib\u00e9ration, Prudente Mubirigi, visiblement boulevers\u00e9e, a refus\u00e9 de s\u2019exprimer publiquement. \u00ab Je ne peux rien dire pour le moment \u00bb, a-t-elle simplement souffl\u00e9, avant d\u2019\u00eatre conduite \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur par des proches.<\/p>\n

Un observateur des droits humains bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Kigali, s\u2019exprimant sous couvert d\u2019anonymat, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab Si la police affirme que M. Mubirigi a \u00e9t\u00e9 lib\u00e9r\u00e9, elle doit en fournir la preuve. Cette affaire ressemble \u00e0 d\u2019autres disparitions forc\u00e9es que nous avons document\u00e9es ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Les autorit\u00e9s n\u2019ont pas publi\u00e9 de communiqu\u00e9 officiel concernant les arrestations r\u00e9centes ni sur le sort de M. Mubirigi. Les m\u00e9dias d\u2019\u00c9tat ont \u00e9voqu\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re vague des \u00ab op\u00e9rations antiterroristes en cours \u00bb li\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019attaque de Kitabi, sans donner de noms ni de d\u00e9tails.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 ce jour, Jean Chrisostome Mubirigi reste introuvable, et les appels de sa famille \u00e0 obtenir des informations sont rest\u00e9s sans r\u00e9ponse.<\/p>\n
