Fallait-il 16 ans de proc\u00e9dure et un proc\u00e8s qui a co\u00fbt\u00e9 100 \u00e0 150 millions de dollars pour d\u00e9couvrir que Matthieu Ngirumpatse \u00e9tait Pr\u00e9sident du MRND, actif dans des missions diplomatiques, et le condamner en d\u00e9finitive pour cette seule raison\u00a0?<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est faire fi de son implication dans la d\u00e9mocratisation du pays, de ses prises de positions sages en faveur de la paix et de la sauvegarde de ses concitoyens et des risques personnels qu\u2019il a pris pour sauver tous ceux qu\u2019il a pu aider.<\/p>\n<p>Condamner Matthieu Ngirumpatse, c\u2019est condamner tout responsable d\u2019un parti politique pour les actes des \u00ab\u00a0militants\u00a0\u00bb de leur parti.\u00a0 Faut-il \u00e0 tout prix tenter de museler ceux qui veulent travailler pour le progr\u00e8s et la d\u00e9mocratisation de leur pays, dans un environnement incertain et potentiellement violent\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>Mais par-dessus tout, condamner Matthieu Ngirumpatse, c\u2019est manquer la derni\u00e8re occasion pour le TPIR de remplir la mission de r\u00e9conciliation qu\u2019il avait re\u00e7ue du Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et qu\u2019il a trahie du premier au dernier jour de son fonctionnement.<\/p>\n<p>Matthieu Ngirumpatse incarne pourtant cette id\u00e9e de r\u00e9conciliation, comme en t\u00e9moignent tous les adversaires politiques du MRND qui se sont press\u00e9s pour contribuer \u00e0 sa d\u00e9fense, au cours de son proc\u00e8s. Il l\u2019a port\u00e9e encore lors de son t\u00e9moignage, et lors de chacune de ses d\u00e9clarations finales, en premi\u00e8re instance et en appel.<\/p>\n<p>Le jugement d\u2019appel cl\u00f4t une mascarade de proc\u00e8s, dont la conclusion a de toute \u00e9vidence \u00e9t\u00e9 pos\u00e9e au premier jour et dont il a fallu beaucoup de contorsions pour lui donner une apparence de \u00ab\u00a0jugement\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Les Rwandais qui ont v\u00e9cu la trag\u00e9die de notre pays connaissent eux, la valeur d\u2019hommes comme Matthieu Ngirumpatse.
