COMMUNIQUE DE PRESSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le g\u00e9n\u00e9ral KARAKE KARENZI, chef du Service Central de Renseignements rwandais, a \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 \u00e0 Londres le 20 juin 2015 en vertu d\u2019un mandat international \u00e9mis par l\u2019Espagne depuis 2008, pour \u00eatre, entre autres, responsable d\u2019assassinat de 8 espagnols au Rwanda (\u00a0Byumba en 1994, Ruhengeri en 1997, Gitarama en 2000<\/em>) et en RDC\u00a0 (Bukavu en 1996<\/em>). Il est poursuivi \u00e9galement pour des crimes graves commis au Rwanda et en R\u00e9publique D\u00e9mocratique du Congo(RDC), crimes que le\u00a0Rapport Mapping des Nations unies<\/a>\u00a0qualifie de crimes de guerre, crimes contre l\u2019humanit\u00e9 et d\u2019actes de g\u00e9nocide contre les Hutu\u00a0(&500-524<\/em>). Les Forces d\u00e9mocratiques unifi\u00e9es (FDU-Inkingi) soutiennent une justice \u00e9quitable, impartiale et ind\u00e9pendante.<\/p>\n

Dans notre lettre du 13 Ao\u00fbt 2007<\/a>, nous nous \u00e9tions d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9mus de la nomination de ce g\u00e9n\u00e9ral au poste d\u2019adjoint du commandant de la force onusienne au Darfour. Nos inqui\u00e9tudes \u00e9taient fond\u00e9es sur de nombreux t\u00e9moignages cr\u00e9dibles, dont ceux vers\u00e9s dans le dossier du juge espagnol Mirelles, ainsi que sur des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de l\u2019enqu\u00eate fran\u00e7aise sur l\u2019attentat contre le pr\u00e9sident Habyarimana, \u00e9l\u00e9ment d\u00e9clencheur du g\u00e9nocide contre les Tutsi de 1994.<\/strong>\u00a0Par la suite,\u00a0le g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Karake Karenzi avait quitt\u00e9 ce poste sous la pression de l\u2019ONU<\/a>, justement car son nom figurait sur la liste des quarante personnalit\u00e9s vis\u00e9es par la justice espagnole pour avoir commandit\u00e9 des massacres et des assassinats. Par apr\u00e8s, il fut nomm\u00e9 chef du Service Central de Renseignements, poste qu\u2019il avait par ailleurs occup\u00e9 ant\u00e9rieurement.<\/p>\n

Les protestations du gouvernement du Pr\u00e9sident Kagame prouvent une fois de plus que le r\u00e9gime du FPR-Inkotanyi ne d\u00e9mord pas de sa culture de privil\u00e9gier l\u2019impunit\u00e9 des criminels du FPR et tient mordicus \u00e0 sa justice in\u00e9quitable du vainqueur, faisant pr\u00e9valoir que ces criminels sont au-dessus de la loi. Les FDU-INKINGI\u00a0 demandent aux autorit\u00e9s rwandaises de respecter l\u2019ind\u00e9pendance de la justice britannique en s\u2019abstenant de toute d\u00e9claration belliciste, \u00e0 l\u2019instar de celle de la Ministre rwandaise des Affaires Etrang\u00e8res.<\/p>\n

Les FDU-INKINGI esp\u00e8rent que cette arrestation ouvre la voie \u00e0 d\u2019autres pour enfin faire suite notamment au tr\u00e8s fouill\u00e9 Mapping report, dont on attend toujours le suivi. Car la justice du vainqueur \u00e9rig\u00e9e en mode de gouvernement au Rwanda n\u2019apportera aucune r\u00e9conciliation v\u00e9ritable et durable.<\/p>\n
