On the night of Sunday 17th August 2014, Rwanda military police has arrested the retired General Rusagara and taken to an undisclosed location.
No member of his family has been informed about his whereabouts and the Police is not disclosing any information about where he is being held and reasons of his arrest.
It has now been almost 96 hours since he was taken.
We request the Rwandan Police:
– To immediately inform his family and legal advisors where he is being held.
– To ensure all his rights are protected and due process followed
