True colors of the Rwandan regime (Answering Tom Ndahiro’s “Open letter to Hon. Gilles Foret” of 20th Februar 2018)

By Noël Rulihose

“The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly and with unflagging attention. It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over. Here, as so often in this world, persistence is the first and most important requirement for success.”

In fact according to Paul Joseph Goebbels, Adolf Hitler’s Propaganda Minister in Nazi Germany : “If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.”

Once upon a time, a wise man stated that “it’s better to turn the tongue 7 times in the mouth before talking”. Writing or talking can reveal what one is really hiding. Experts can easily decipher a liar from just how he/she is moving her eyes or from what is commonly known as body language.

Tom Ndahiro is telling us all his and his government truth. Even an unadvised person is able to read between his lines.

Jambo is an association which is base in Belgium. It is constituted by young Rwandans who were toddlers or not born yet during the Rwandan genocide in 1994. The main vision of Jambo is “Soyons maitres de Notre Destin” meaning “Let us be masters of our destiny”.

Jambo has given itself as assignment to mobilize and train people from all works of life, in order to promote the human rights and dialogue in the Great Lakes region of Africa.

Jambo has realized that the truth is and basic human rights, the foundation for a true reconciliation for people in Rwanda and in the region.

In this light, Jambo has seen the project of the bill of law presented by Gilles Foret to the Federal Belgian Parliament. The bill will penalize the negation of the Rwanda Genocide.

Jambo and other Rwandese associations have called in to Gills Foret to express their concern. In doing so, Jambo has attracted fire from one Tom Ndahiro, who tok to himself to write to the Member of Parliament what he thinks is not right.

In short what Tom Ndahiro is showing is the true character of the Rpf regime and how it fears debating ideas. By saying that the bill project “directly threatens their activities and would criminalize many of their assertions”, Tom Ndahiro shows us how the Rpf regime goes about anyone who wants to debate anything astray from its ideology.

The Rpf regime criminalizes contradictory ideas to mussel the whole population. All that the Jambo association wishes is to inform the Member of Parliament, his party and anyone concerned about its concerns and to debate them. To that effect the association invited even the Rwandan Embassy and other experts to share their different views.

Tom Ndahiro goes far in showing us the true colors of the RPF regime when he writes that “The entire staff of Jambo Asbl is peopled by the children of the planners and perpetrators of the Rwanda genocide against Tutsi.”

This is exactly what is thought in Rwanda by the regime, criminalizing a whole part of the population. The regime even criminalizes Hutu children born after 1994 saying that even though they were born after the genocide they have to beg for forgiveness to tutsi!
In RPFs Rwanda, a sin is not individual. It is committed by the whole ethnic group, or the whole family and it is passed on generation after generation.

“Mbonyumutwa who served as interim President of Rwanda under the Belgian colonial administration in 1961, for nine months. From November 1959 to October 1961, Dominique Mbonyumutwa managed to distinguish himself by initiating and driving the first massacres of Tutsi.” By merely associating Mbonyumutwa Dominique any crime is logically implicating the responsibility of the Belgian Kingdom because, indeed he served under the Belgian administration.

Frankly the whole letter demonstrates a crime by association method of the regime. Because you are a child of so and so, that simple fact is enough to accuse you of genocidal ideology. A crime which the regime can turn into negating the genocide or harboring the genocidal ideology at will.

I could go on here, demonstrating paragraph by paragraph the ways of Rpf but many are beyond the common sense. Accusing someone because he went to school or worked with someone is just saying that no tutsi was able to enter the national education system and thereafter go on and commemorate the tutsi students killed in the National university of Rwanda in 1994. That goes beyond any simple logic.

If indeed Tom Ndahiro, the Rwandan Embassy in Belgium were interested in showing the truth, they could have opted to be present at the conference convened by Jambo Asbl and roll out their ideas.

Tom Ndahiro, unknowingly is showing all the ways of RPF. In a true democratic spirit an idea is to be fought by another idea. This is not the case for the RPF regime. An idea is fought by accusing its bearer of absurd and fantasist crimes, as “genocidaires ideology”. Crimes which are difficult to circumscribe just like “lèse-majesté”. Such fantasist crimes are merely used to get rid of political opponents.

RPF regime has uses such crimes at will. For example, no serious political opponent to the president Kagame has managed to live freely after election. Immediately there are crimes of the sort which the regime is ready to use against its opponents.

Writing to Gilles Foret, Tom Ndahiro seems like he wants him to apply some due decree. In fact Tom Ndahiro is telling Gilles Foret how is done in Rwanda. Tom is kind of reminding him of his duties. That is how the RPF relates to the Member of Parliament. Unknowingly Tom Ndahiro is revealing to all how RPF operates. Unfortunately for him Belgium is not Rwanda.
