Uganda-Rwanda Tension Mounts

According to reliable sources, tensions are high and a war of words could resume between Uganda and Rwanda after U.S. Journalist passed Rwanda over Political Opposition coverage.

On Friday 26 July 2013, the Ugandan government deported an American journalist, Taylor Krauss, over coverage of opposition related news in the capital of Kampala. He was detained for three days in Kampala, accused of violating the country’s immigration rules and working within the country illegally.

The surprise is that, Uganda has found out that Rwanda has been using Taylor Krauss in so many espionage cases both in Africa and the West, Taylor Krauss, a filmmaker who had been documenting the atrocities that have taken place in this part of the world – including Democratic Republic of Congo –passed through Rwanda often approach for advice or services .

Krauss, who reportedly entered the country about a fortnight ago on a visitor visa which the Internal Affairs officials said, prohibited him from carrying out any formal work. Some sources said Krauss had come to film a documentary on Dr. Besigye and other opposition politicians.
