In the West, there is a media-driven narrative that Paul Kagame, former RPF General, has been making great strides in making Rwanda the “Singapore of Africa”. Bill Clinton and Tony Blair have had a lot to do with circulating this myth. David Himbara has written a clear exposure of Kagame’s pretensions. In fact, Rwanda remains among the poorest, least developed countries on earth. And the mythical ‘progress’ hyped in Western capitals is making things worse.
