Oslo: Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza painted on Nobel Peace Center’s “The Unknown Numbers” wall

Victoire Ingabire Umuhoza painted on Nobel Peace Center’s “The Unknown Numbers” wall on the new site of the National Museum in Oslo in honor of all freedom fighters. Last year, the wall was transformed into an arena for contemporary art in cooperation with Statsbygg.
Most of the free speech fighters portrayed on the wall with Victoire Ingabire are alive today, and in the middle of their struggle. But some of them have died in their fight for free expression. They have one thing in common: They have all made big sacrifices in their fight for free speech.
“… By shedding light on the stories of some of the individuals who are risking their lives for their freedom of speech, we want to remind all the people who are passing by, that freedom of speech is a right we need to defend and protect,” says Liv Tørres, executive director of the Nobel Peace Center.
