Kigali, Rwanda-One of the cars of the president’s convoy has knocked down a motorcyclist along the way from Rugwiro to Kigali International Airport road.
The accident took place around Chez Lando Hotel at 10Am today as the motorcade was speeding from the president’s offices towards the airport road.
It is suspected that the motorcyclist could have fallen in a fatal coma.
People around the scene said the motorcyclist was picked up by police and hurried to hospital.
Efforts to contact the police spokesperson about the accident were futile as he could not pick his phone. However, according to the SMS ACP. Damas Gatare, Police spokesman sent to the editor, he promised to call back.
It is yet unclear whether the injured cyclist died or which hospital he is being treated in.
Failure to get word from the police could not help disclose the number plates of the motorcycle and names of the motorist.
